A lifelong passion for design
William Adams's love for architecture and design began at a young age. His grandfather was an architect with his design-build firm in Wisconsin. At the same time, his father dedicated his life to a cabinetry business that started in his uncle’s kitchen and bath showroom. His roots run deep in the design world, and he followed in their footsteps, studying Industrial Design in college. During his studies, he learned about arranging spaces while taking detailed courses on the technical aspects of design. While studying how to use space wisely and analyzing the numbers behind making places both beautiful and practical, he mastered the art of spatial understanding, allowing him to provide his clients with the ultimate design experience.
William’s focus soon shifted to specialized kitchen and bath design. He sharpened his skills at prominent firms and opened the Christopher Peacock showroom in San Francisco. He later joined SieMatic, a German cabinetmaker, followed by the Henrybuilt team, where he designed and managed numerous projects independently. During this time, William was establishing his reputation on the West Coast.
In 2009, William undertook his first private project, a kitchen remodel in Oakland, that marked the start of his independent career. By 2014, William had broadened his experience with projects in the Bay Area and beyond. By 2017, he had realized his vision for a comprehensive design approach. From here, William Adams' Design was built on enduring client relationships, marked by William's patience and depth of insight.
